Women's Moonlodge

A seasonal ceremonial gathering for women in Amsterdam, held through the 8 gateways of the year.

So many women do not know that they have been living disconnected from their own body, from their own cycle, and from one another....And because they don't know it, they also don't know their own potential of who they are - alone, and together.

We identify with the symptoms instead: the tiredness,  overwhelm, the flatness that will not lift and the feeling that something is quietly wrong...

And underneath it all - we are lonely...a  loneliness of moving through the world real in a quiet dispair, without any recognition.

Nothing in the world around her is anchoring our dignity in connection to our beingness- as women. menaing, to our body, to our cycles, or our own knowing. Meaning,  to our body, to our cycles, or our own knowing. We have been handed a man-made cycle and told it is the only one. And we are living it on our own.

The MoonLodge is where that begins to turn.

Beltane is the gateway of aliveness, of the body's yes, of the first heat returning to the soil after the long quiet. A place where the Earth simply holds you, and where nothing needs to be fixed or explained or managed... where your cycles, your darkness, your aliveness, and your grief are all equally welcome, because the women sitting beside you are carrying something deeply similar.

A seat is open for you...

Who Comes to MoonLodge

You do not need to fit a certain shape to belong in this room.

Women come to the MoonLodge from all of life. Entrepreneurs and artists, mothers and those without children, healers and teachers, corporate leaders and women stepping quietly out of the structures they built. Women who sense they are deeper than their success, and women whose inner world has begun to ask something of them they cannot quite name yet.

What unites them is not what they do, but what they are ready for - a readiness to slow down, to listen more deeply, and to be held in sisterhood, honestly, as the women they actually are on the night they walk in.

All ages are welcome. Moreover, whether you still bleed, no longer bleed, have never bled, or have a body that moves through its cycles in its own way... whether you have mothered children, mothered yourself, or never wanted to mother at all - there is a space for you here. A woman's belonging in this circle is not measured by her reproductive stage, it is measured by the depth she is willing to meet.

Transgender women are warmly welcome in this circle, and I invite you  to write to me before your first lodge so we can speak together about what the MoonLodge holds. If you are in inquiry about your own womanhood or uncertain whether this circle is yours, please do the same - reach out, and we will talk.

If you feel the call, a seat is open for you.

✧ What the MoonLodge is not ✧

The MoonLodge is not a space for escaping life, for bypassing pain, or for chasing what is popular right now.

It isn't a performance, because there is nothing to get right, nothing to curate, and nothing to deliver.

lastly, it is not therapy for acute trauma. Therefore, if  you are moving through something that needs clinical care, please reach first for a therapist, trauma specialist, or myself who can hold that work with the depth it deserves.
The MoonLodge can walk beside that work when the time is right. It cannot be  a replacement for it.

✧ Inside the Sacred Space ✧

The MoonLodge is not a workshop with activities, and it is not only a circle where we sit and share. It is a ceremonial arc  -  a shape held from the moment the yurt doors open to the moment we step back into the night. Five movements make this arc., and together they are what turns a room into a sacred space.

Grounding & Nourishment

We gather from 17:15  for those who wish to arrive early and settle gently into the space, light refreshments are offered - a simple moment of nourishment and transition before ceremony begins.
You're welcome to bring a small snack or treat to share if you'd like. This unhurried arrival time allows you to shed the day and enter the ceremonial space with presence.

Medicine Story & Feminine Wisdom

Each MoonLodge carries a medicine story drawn from the seasons, the cycles, and the archetypal wisdom of women. These teachings are living stories and symbols that speak directly to our soul. Through this remembering, we awaken a deeper connection to our feminine essence and to the wisdom that has always lived within us.

Shadow Work & Soul Tending

Together we explore the hidden places, the unspoken, the silenced, the forgotten. This is not therapy, but a sacred form of shadow work held within a ceremonial container. With compassion and presence, we create a field of collective healing, where each woman supports and tends the other on her path toward greater wholeness.

Ritual & Ceremony

Ritual is a sacred art. Here, what we carry is honoured, released, and transformed through carefully crafted ceremony, and ritual becomes an embodied prayer, helping us cross from one state to another.

During ritual, inner shifts often happen and  we feel release, clarity, or a new sense of direction. However, without anchoring, those shifts can float away. Ceremony “anchors” them by tying them to a symbolic act. In this way ritual links us to something larger, reminding us that we are part of a greater whole.

Soul Sharing & Closing

This is far beyond small talk. Here we do deep inner work, meeting ourselves and one another with honesty and care. We dare to be vulnerable, to speak what is often left unsaid, and to be held without judgment. Every story is witnessed, every silence honoured.

Women leave profoundly restored, carrying home a renewed sense of dignity, belonging, and embodied power.

✧ The Transformation

This is far beyond the kind of conversation that happens over coffee.
Here we do deep inner work, and we midwife one another through what we did not know we were carrying. Every story is mirrored and every silence honoured.
We leave restored... carrying home a renewed sense of dignity, of belonging, of embodied power.

  The Details

When

MoonLodges are held through the 8 seasonal gateways of the year - Samhain, the Winter Solstice, Imbolc, the Spring Equinox, Beltane, the Summer Solstice, Lughnasadh, and the Autumn Equinox. Each one opens a specific doorway into the cycle, and together they carry us through a full turn of the wheel.

✧ What's Included ✧

When you reserve your seat at the MoonLodge, you are held in more than the evening itself, for you enter a small, continuous container that tends to you between the gateways as well as within them.

✦ The Ceremony
Three hours in the yurt with twelve to fourteen women, from arrival through to closing. Candlelight, tea, music, and the full arc of the evening... grounding, story, silence, ritual, and soul-sharing, all held in the rhythm of the season we are standing at the threshold of.

✦ The Space Itself
A warm, light-filled yurt in Amsterdam West with floor heating and an opening to the sky. Cushions, blankets, altar, and tea on arrival are prepared and waiting for you, so that you can step in and simply be met.

✦ The Telegram Hearth
A quiet thread between lodges where the work is allowed to keep breathing. You may receive a seasonal reflection, a question to sit with, or a short voice note for womb, heart, or spirit... never noise, never a newsletter, only what belongs to the cycle we are moving through together.

✦ A Word Between Lodges
If something opens for you during a ceremony and you need to be met with it afterwards, you are welcome to write to me. You will never be left alone with what the circle has stirred.

✧ The Ground This Lodge Stands On ✧

Most women's circles today are held under the story that the feminine is the Moon and the masculine is the Sun. It is a beautiful story, and much of Western culture has quietly taken it on without question.
And yet -  the Moon does not grow. She does not bring forth life. She reflects.

The teaching this lodge stands on is older, and I believe truer. We are of the Earth and wee are fed by the Sun. Yes we are in partnership with the Moon. Grandmother Moon is our teacher of cycles, as is the Earth herself... yet we are not an unembodied reflection of the Sun.
We are the ones who grow, and are the ones who bring forth ...life.

When a woman is told her femininity is the Moon, she is being told she is a reflection. When a woman remembers her femininity is the Earth, she is remembering she is a source.
This distinction is quiet, but it changes everything.

✦ The Three Centres
From this ground, the lodge teaches in three centres, each in connection to the body.

The Womb
The voice of the womb is much different to the monkey chatter in our head. She is the feeling  and knowing space, the desiring space, the creative and instinctual Self that knows long before the mind can even catch up.
We return to her here.

The Heart
The centre of giving and receiving, and of the slow work of learning to do both without collapse. In the lodge we practise receiving, because most of us have been taught only how to give.

The Intellect
Not the chatter of the mind, but the strength of discernment... the clear knowing of what is ours, what is not, what we walk towards, and what we let pass. The intellect, restored to its rightful seat, is a deeply feminine faculty.

All three, always, in connection to the body, which is of the Earth.

✦ The Great Creative Cycle
Feminine wisdom is often named as the wisdom of cycles, and this is true, yet it is also often misunderstood. The cycle she teaches is not only the inner cycle of the womb, nor only the outer cycle of the seasons... it is what I call the Great Creative Cycle, the whole breath of life itself.

The Great Creative Cycle holds both the growing and the emptying, both the light and the dark, both fullness and fallow, both life and death...and - rebirth. It is yin and yang moving through one being. The feminine is not only the dark half, and the masculine is not only the light half... she holds the whole cycle, for she knows that nothing is truly created without something being released first, and that rebirth requires fallow ground.

This is why we cannot do this work without the masculine. The masculine is not elsewhere. He is the outer to her inner, the yang to her yin, the structure and pattern that holds the space in which she creates. A woman who has remembered the Great Creative Cycle is a woman who has made peace with both, within herself and can ride the creative cycles of life and her life.

The 8 seasonal gateways are how this cycle is lived in real time, for they are the teaching itself...  Each lodge is one breath of the Great Creative Cycle, and across the year we breathe the whole of it together.

Angela Gietel

I experience the MoonLodge every time as a warm blanket.

My first lodge was together with my daughter, to celebrate her first menstruation. The idea alone already spoke to me, and my daughter also experienced it as something very beautiful.

At the MoonLodge you can truly be yourself, without judgement, even toward yourself. It is a circle where you give and receive wisdom, warmth, and something quieter than words.

All of this held by Wen-Wei, who leads the lodge from her heart and her convictions. Because of her, both my daughter and I felt free to share openly and fully.

Since then, I have been more engaged in exploring who I truly am and what I want.

Esther-Louise Anaïs

I have been going to Moon Circles and ceremonies with Wen-Wei for over two years now. I remember the first time ... I had never been to anything like it, and I had no idea what to expect. A friend of mine who used to go to Moon Circles often took me.

It was a very beautiful surprise. Part coming together with a group of women, safe in whatever you had to say, heard, held, and able to give the same to others. Part transformational ... a mix of mythology, storytelling, sound, music, song, and ritual, all done in a way that only Wen-Wei creates.

I remember feeling that way the first time, and I still do, more than two years later. Even my friend, who used to go to Moon Circles all the time, told me afterwards that what Wen-Wei holds is unique, even to her.

Very loving, very unique, and I would recommend it to anybody.

Romy Kristal

I had the honour to experience the first Sacred Woman's Year Course with Wen-Wei, a year-long training for women to be held, and to learn to hold this work for others. Sharing her wisdom as a teacher for the first time cannot have been easy, yet to me it felt like she had been doing it for years.

I learned a great deal about sacred feminine practices, but most importantly it was deep inner work. What made the course unique is that it weaves a wide range of practices together, and prepares you to hold sacred space yourself. She made sure we would meet our own shadows, so that we could heal and, through that experience, learn how to support a healing space for other women.

It was a very holistic training. Be prepared to grow in all parts of you ... body, mind, connection with others, and spirit.
