Woman's Circle
A Woman's Way
Monthly NewMoon gatherings in de Roos Amsterdam
So many women have learned to move through life disconnected from their bodies, their own rhythm, as well as one another.
Beneath all the business, or tiredness, overwhelm, and flatness that will not quite lift, there can be a quiet longing: to be seen, to belong, and to return to the wisdom that already lives within.

Virgo NewMoon
Saturday 12 September 2026
16:00–19:00 · de Roos, Amsterdam
At this Virgo NewMoon, we gather around the medicine of devotion and the quiet act of tending what truly matters, allowing for what is subtle to be brought into form and returning to our body as a place of wisdom and creation.
Through archetypal story, embodied practice, ritual, reflection, and circle sharing, we make space to listen for what this season is asking of you.
Ps You don't need to know any astrology...and you are welcome exactly as you are.
Who Comes to this Women’s Circle?
This is not about fitting in. This is about belonging.
Women come to de Roos Women’s Circle from many different walks of life. Some being artists, entrepreneurs, mothers, healers, teachers, or women in leadership positions. Women who are moving through change, loss, a pivotal point in their lives, or simply a soft inner questioning. Others simply know they long for a deeper connection with their body or their own rhythm and other women.
What brings us together is not what we do, nor how much we already know. It is a willingness to pause, to listen more deeply, and to be met honestly in the company of other women.
My dear, you absolutely don't need to know any astrology and you don't need previous experience of women’s circles, ritual, or ceremony....You need not arrive knowing the right words, nor needing any clear intentions.
You are warmly welcome whether you bleed, no longer bleed - younger or older - or whether you have mothered children, mothered yourself, your projects, there is space for you here.
If you feel the call, a space is open for you
✧ What this Circle is not ✧
This circle isn't a place to escape life, to bypass pain, nor to chase whatever is popular right now.
It is not a place of performance and there's nothing to get right, nothing to curate nor anything to deliver.
Although this circle can be deeply supportive, it is not group therapy and it is not a replacement for therapeutic or clinical care. Therefore, dear you, if you are moving through acute trauma, crisis, or something that needs dedicated therapeutic support, please reach out to myself through email, or the appropriate professional support.
de Roos Women’s Circle can sit alongside therapeutic work when the time is right, however it cannot replace it.
✧What happens in the Circle? ✧
A NewMoon gathering unfolds in four gentle movements.
Medicine Story & Feminine Wisdom
Each circle carries a medicine story shaped by the NewMoon sign we are moving through: its archetype, its gifts, its shadow, and the particular doorway it opens into the deep and creative inner- woman’s life.
For each NewMoon, I have created a feminine archetype that gives form to this teaching - layers and lessons, a story, as well as a way of seeing ourselves more clearly within the rhythm of the season.
These aren't astrology lessons, but living stories and symbols that speak directly to our soul. Through mythos, image, reflection, and shared inquiry, we re-member the wisdom, instinct, and feminine knowing that have always lived within us
Shadow Work & Soul Tending
Each NewMoon carries its own light and shadow. Guided by the archetype of the sign we are moving through, we gently explore what may be hidden, disowned, silenced, or asking to be met within ourselves.
In Jungian thought, the shadow is not only what we consider dark or difficult. It can also hold the instincts, power, creativity, desire, and discernment we have not yet fully claimed. Through story, reflection, ritual, and the presence of other women, we tend these places with compassion and bring them a little more into the light.
Ritual & Ceremony
Ritual is a sacred art...Here, what we carry is honoured, released and transformed through carefully crafted ceremony. Ritual, then, becomes an embodied prayer, helping us to cross from one state to another.
During ritual, inner shifts often happen and we feel release, clarity, or a new sense of direction. However, without anchoring them, those shifts can float away. Therefore, ceremony “anchors” them by tying them to a symbolic act. Moreover, in this way ritual links us to something larger, reminding us that we are part of a greater whole.
Soul Sharing & Closing
This is far beyond small talk...Here we do the brave, deep inner work of meeting ourselves and one another with honesty and care. The roles and masks we've learned can be gently laid down, making space for vulnerability, truth, and an open heart.
We may not always know exactly what we are sharing as we speak and yet every story is received with compassion and without judgement. The woman who speaks is witnessed and gently midwifed by those listening; and those who listen are often touched by what is shared, recognising something of their own story within another woman’s words or silence.
This is the reciprocal medicine of the circle: every story is witnessed and held. Women leave carrying home a renewed sense of dignity, belonging, and embodied power.
✧ The Transformation ✧
This is far beyond the kind of conversation that happens over coffee.
Here we do deep inner work, and we midwife one another through what we did not know we were carrying. Every story is mirrored and every silence honoured.
We leave restored... carrying home a renewed sense of dignity, of belonging, of embodied power.

You're warmly invited to wear what helps you feel beautiful, feminine, ceremonial, or simply at home in yourself.
If you are bleeding, please don't feel that you cannot come, so bring a hot-water bottle, extra layers, your own comforts, or anything you need to feel held.
If you wish, bring a journal and pen, and a small meaningful object for the shared altar. Everything else essential for the circle is provided.
✧ What's Included ✧

Three hours in a held women’s circle, from opening to closing. Each gathering includes the NewMoon medicine story and feminine archetype, embodied reflection, shadow work, ritual, and soul sharing
✦ The NewMoon Teaching

✦ A Held Ceremonial Space
A carefully prepared room at de Roos, with an altar, music, ritual, reflection, and the presence of women gathering with care. Dear woman, please come as you are and let the circle hold and meet you there

The circle doesn't need to end when you leave de Roos...you are welcomed into the Hearth, our private Telegram group, where the month’s NewMoon story, reflections, and the quiet thread of connection can continue between lodges...There's no pressure to share or keep up. The Hearth is simply there when you want to return.. to read, reflect, offer a word or to remember that you are walking alongside other women
✧ The Ground This Circle Stands On ✧
Most women's circles today are held under the story that the feminine is the Moon and the masculine is the Sun. It is a beautiful story, and much of Western culture has quietly taken it on without question.
And yet - the Moon does not grow. She does not bring forth life. She reflects.
The teaching this circle stands on is older and I believe truer. Women are of the Earth and we are fed by the Sun. Yes we are in partnership with the Moon, she - Grandmother Moon - is our teacher of cycles, as is the Earth herself...
yet we are not an unembodied reflection of the Sun.
We are the ones who grow, and are the ones who bring forth ...life.
When a woman is told her femininity is the Moon, she is being told she is a reflection.
When a woman remembers her femininity is the Earth, she is remembering she is a source.
This distinction is soft, but it changes everything.
✦ The Three Centres
From this ground, the circle teaches in three centres, each in connection to the body.
The Womb
The voice of the womb is much different to the monkey chatter in our head. She is the feeling and knowing space, the desiring space, the creative and instinctual Self that knows long before the mind.
We return to her here.
The Heart
The centre of giving and receiving, and of the slow work of learning to do both without collapsing. In the circle we practise receiving, because most of us have been taught only how to give.
The Intellect
Not the chatter of the mind, but the strength of discernment... the clear knowing of what is ours, what isn't, as well as what we walk towards, and what we let pass. The intellect, restored to its rightful seat, is a deeply feminine faculty.
All three, always, in connection to the body, which is of the Earth.
✦ The Great Creative Cycle
Feminine wisdom is often named as the wisdom of cycles, and this is true, yet it is also often misunderstood. The cycle she teaches is not only the inner cycle of the womb, nor only the outer cycle of the seasons... it is what I call the Great Creative Cycle, the whole breath of life and how it moves itself.
The Great Creative Cycle holds both the growing and the emptying, both the light and the dark, both fullness and fallow, both life and death...and - life again. It is yin and yang moving through one being. The feminine is not only the dark half, and the masculine is not only the light half... she holds the whole cycle, for she knows that nothing is truly created without something being released first, and that rebirth requires fallow ground.
This is why we cannot do this work without the masculine...The masculine is not elsewhere...He is the outer to her inner, the yang to her yin, the structure and pattern that holds the space in which she creates. A woman who has remembered the Great Creative Cycle is a woman who has made peace with both, within herself and can ride the creative cycles of life and her life.

I experience the MoonLodge every time as a warm blanket.
My first lodge was together with my daughter, to celebrate her first menstruation. The idea alone already spoke to me, and my daughter also experienced it as something very beautiful.
At the MoonLodge you can truly be yourself, without judgement, even toward yourself. It is a circle where you give and receive wisdom, warmth, and something quieter than words.
All of this held by Wen-Wei, who leads the lodge from her heart and her convictions. Because of her, both my daughter and I felt free to share openly and fully.
Since then, I have been more engaged in exploring who I truly am and what I want.

I have been going to Moon Circles and ceremonies with Wen-Wei for over two years now. I remember the first time ... I had never been to anything like it, and I had no idea what to expect. A friend of mine who used to go to Moon Circles often took me.
It was a very beautiful surprise. Part coming together with a group of women, safe in whatever you had to say, heard, held, and able to give the same to others. Part transformational ... a mix of mythology, storytelling, sound, music, song, and ritual, all done in a way that only Wen-Wei creates.
I remember feeling that way the first time, and I still do, more than two years later. Even my friend, who used to go to Moon Circles all the time, told me afterwards that what Wen-Wei holds is unique, even to her.
Very loving, very unique, and I would recommend it to anybody.

I had the honour to experience the first Sacred Woman's Year Course with Wen-Wei, a year-long training for women to be held, and to learn to hold this work for others. Sharing her wisdom as a teacher for the first time cannot have been easy, yet to me it felt like she had been doing it for years.
I learned a great deal about sacred feminine practices, but most importantly it was deep inner work. What made the course unique is that it weaves a wide range of practices together, and prepares you to hold sacred space yourself. She made sure we would meet our own shadows, so that we could heal and, through that experience, learn how to support a healing space for other women.
It was a very holistic training. Be prepared to grow in all parts of you ... body, mind, connection with others, and spirit.
